The Youth Leaders' Camp relies primarly on school officials for selecting the best qualified students (boys and girls) ages 12-15. The enrollment period for Summer 2008 is January 1 - June 1, 2008.

Below are instructions for nominating a student who meets
the selection criteria. For selection criteria see "How to Attend".

1. Obtain a copy of the Youth Leaders’ Camp Enrollment Application. Applications are mailed annually to qualifying schools within the D.C. Metropolitan area and are usually found in the Guidance Counselor’s office. Additional copies may be obtained by sending a self addressed stamped envelope to:

2. Complete and Sign the School Nomination Form, which you will find on page 6 of the Enrollment Application Package. Note: The School Nomination Form must be completed and signed by someone in a official school capacity, who knows the nominee as a student, such has a guidance counselor, teacher, principal etc...
3. You may elect use one of the following:
  1. Mail the Enrollment Application along with a cover letter to the Nominees parent or legal guardian, with instructions to complete and sign pages 1 - 4, section I of page 5, and to have section II of page 5 completed and signed by their primary health care provider, then returning the completed application package along with the nominees last report card, a short essay on leadership, and the $25.00 registration fee to Youth Leaders’ Camp, Inc. by June 1, 2008.
    Or
  2. Give the Enrollment Application to the Nominee with instructions to have their parent or legal guardian complete and sign pages 1 - 4, section I of page 5, and to have section II of page 5 completed and signed by their primary health care provider, then returning the completed application package along with the nominees last report card, a short essay on leadership, and the $25.00 registration fee to Youth Leaders’ Camp, Inc. by June 1, 2008.
    Or
  3. Request that the parent or legal guardian (if option A is used) or the student (if option B is used) return the completed application package and the nominees last report card, a short essay on leadership, and the $25.00 registration fee to you for consolidation and review, prior to your mailing it to Youth Leaders’ Camp, Inc. by June 1, 2008. (In using this option you may choose to complete the nomination form last)

The Youth Leaders' Camp is not a recruiting program for the National Guard.
