As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since 1973 and a public charity under section(s) 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code (See attached IRS Determination Letter pdf.), we rely solely on monetary contributions from individuals, foundations, corporations, local area businesses, and our participation in the Combined Federal Campaign National Capital Area (CFCNCA) to provide services directly related to the heath and welfare of participating youth. The District of Columbia National Guard provides the planning, administration, logistics support and volunteer camp staff.
Our annual enrollment goal is 100 campers, and at an estimated cost of $300 per camper, your tax deductible donation will go a long way in helping to provide D.C. Metropolitan area youth an opportunity to learn and implement the principles of leadership, citizenship, and good sportsmanship. You will be helping to expose participating youth to a recreational and educational summer experience that will add to their interpersonal growth and development and return them to their communities as role models and responsible future leaders.
We hope you will consider sharing with us in this great opportunity for the youth of our community, our future leaders. No given amount is too small...
