The District of Columbia National Guard Youth Leaders’ Camp Inc., would like to thank you for your interest in our 44th Annual Camp this summer at Camp Moss Hollow in Markham, VA from July 5 - 16, 2011.  As always, we look forward to providing students from within the D.C. Metropolitan area an opportunity to learn and implement the principles of leadership, citizenship, and sportsmanship through group discussions, competitive sports, and other recreational activities.  Each year, we process hundreds of student applications and those students selected are exposed to a recreational and educational summer experience designed to add to their interpersonal growth and development, and return them to their community as a role model and responsible future leader. 


Eligibility:

The District of Columbia National Guard Youth Leaders' Camp serves all students, boys and girls ages 12 - 15 from within the DC Metropolitan area, who are physically able and willing to participate.  Enrollment is on a first come-first served basis.


Tuition Fees:

As a result of the issues surrounding the state of the economy, it is with our deepest regret that we must impose the following fees:

  • Non Refundable Application Fee:     $ 50.00
  • DC Residence Camp Fee:                    $ 75.00
  • MD and VA Residence Camp Fee:     $125.00

We accept cash, Visa, Master Card, Money Orders & Certified Checks Only.  Certified checks should be made payable to DCNG Youth Leaders' Camp Inc.  All fee's must be paid in full by Friday June 10, 2011.

There will be no refund on concellations made within 3 weeks of the expected arrival date.  Payments are not refundable for no shows.

Need based sponsorships are available upon request and are based on available funds. *DC Residence Only


Registration Procedure:

Enrollemnt will be conducted at the DC National Guard Armory, 2001 East Capital Street SE Washington, DC 20003.  You must call the Youth Leaders' Camp Office at (202) 685-9649 to schedule an appointment to register your child, or you may choose to register your child during one of the two following open registration dates at the above address from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM on:

Saturday April 30 and Saturday May 14

Registration Deadline is Friday June 10, 2011

The following forms will be available for completion at the time of your scheduled appoinment.  But you may elect to download them now by clicking on the desired form:

Things to Bring to Camp

 (*1) - The information on this from is not part of the camper acceptance process, but is gathered to assist us in identifying appropriate care.  The health history (first three pages) must be filed out by parents/guardians of the camper.  Health exam (back page) must be completed by approved licensed medical personnel at least every two years.  If the camper has had a physical examination during the current school year (2010-2011) that cleared them to participate in a sport or other physical activity, or has had a health exam within the last two years, simply attach a copy of the signed physical examination.

(*2) - The information on this from is not part of the camper acceptance process, but is gathered to assist us in our efforts in managing the cost of meals and our overall operational cost of the camp.

Please bring the following items to your appointment:

  • Child's social security number or card and birth certificate w/seal
  • Child's medical insurance information or card
  • Proof of total family income such as pay stubs, W2 or tax forms. (Only if applying for a sponsorship)
  • Non-refundable application fee of $50.00

*Note: It is important that parents make an appointment for their child to get a per camp physical examination as soon as possible.  All health forms must be signed by a physician and submitted prior to the first day of camp.
